Graduates of Carolina’s MPA program have successful careers within all levels of government service, in a wide variety of nonprofit organizations, and as private sector consultants. Employers seek out UNC-Chapel Hill MPA students because of their expertise in management, policy, and analysis.
Career Services provides multiple opportunities throughout the year for students to meet employers and get to know our extensive network of active alumni.
The MPA program hosts a job fair for current students every February. Recruiters conduct individual interviews with PWE eligible students seeking fulltime, summer professional work opportunities and, if they have permanent positions available, with graduating students beginning their job search.
JOB POSTING LISTSERV
Career Services sends emails to students (beginning their final semester) and includes interested alumni in weekly job postings.
MPA ALUMNI MENTOR PROGRAM

The MPA program hosts an assessment center for current students every January. Alumni are invited to campus early in January to conduct an assessement center for current students. The assessment center consists of a panel mock interview and group activity.
HAPPY HOUR HUBS
The MPA program and School of Government Development Office jointly host Happy Hour Hubs (informal networking events) around the country. Contact Brandon Foster firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to host a Hub! Look for an invitation for an event near you.
