Margaret A. Brunson

Margaret A. Brunson joined the School of Government in 2014 as adjunct faculty for the MPA Program. Her professional experience includes administrative leadership within the public and non-profit sectors and health care organizations. Her leadership practice focuses on management and oversight of public health programs for underserved communities and populations. Margaret serves as the Director of Hospital Relations for Alliance Behavioral Healthcare, a North Carolina-based quasi-governmental managed care organization that provides oversight of behavioral health services for Cumberland, Durham, Johnston, and Wake counties. Additionally, she is a life and leadership coach, speaker and facilitator, and published author. Margaret earned a BA in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a MPA from North Carolina Central University, and a Ph.D. from North Carolina A&T State University.
